Advertisers Beware....

This is both funny & sad at the same time. Seeing as I live in Vancouver, I was unaware that Boston had a massive bomb scare on January 31st which turned out to be only a marketing ploy for TBS to advertise their late night adult cartoon. Or another theory I'm going with is that Boston royally f'd this up so bad and are embaressed and are doing some massive PR control so as to not lose face. (see quote below)




I find it incredulous that the US is so wound up in a state of paranoia that the first reaction upon seeing a lit up cartoon character is that YES.. it's definitely a bomb. Let's not investigate but rather just detonate them ... To quote from an article found on CNN.com

"It had a very sinister appearance," Coakley (Massachusetts Attorney General Martha Coakley) told reporters. "It had a battery behind it, and wires."

WTF??? I don't even know where to start with what is wrong with that sentence. Seeing as who it is coming from, I actually expected something a little more astute.

Well, Bravo to the marketing duo as you have now received world wide attention for the cartoon which may or may not succeed now seeing as you completely alienated an entire city do to the fact that those in charge are hysterical.
